SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA — Sydney-based technology company Giggy Australia Pty Ltd is preparing to launch its customer booking marketplace across Sydney and Melbourne, supported by a growing network of more than 2,500 registered independent service providers on the platform.
The provider community has been built through GigMate — Giggy’s companion app for service professionals — which launched in December 2025. Since then, independent cleaners, pet care providers, gardeners, handymen, and mobile beauty therapists across both cities have joined the platform to connect with customers and manage bookings.
Giggy operates as a digital marketplace that connects customers with independent service providers. Service providers using the platform operate their own businesses and manage their own services.
A Direct Booking Experience
Giggy has been designed to offer customers a straightforward way to discover and connect with local service providers.
Rather than posting a job request and receiving multiple bids, customers can browse provider profiles, review service information, select a provider of their choice, and book directly through the platform.
Built-in in-app messaging enables customers and service providers to communicate, confirm service details, and manage bookings within one system.
