PRESS RELEASE: LARGEST EVER EXPO FOR INNOVATIVE ELECTRIC CARS AND OTHER ELECTRIC VEHICLES BRISBANE SHOWGROUNDS THIS WEEKEND

The inaugural Electric Dreams expo, featuring electric vehicles, from cars to trucks and even electric skateboards, will be taking place this weekend (2-3 July) at the Brisbane Showgrounds, Bowen Hills.

As the cost of petrol is currently soaring to over $2 per litre on some days, electric vehicles are becoming more popular than ever. Electric vehicles now report average weekly running costs of less than $5, or free if the owner has solar panels. There is also the convenience of plugging in at home to charge, rather than needing to search for, and then queue at, a petrol station to fill the tank, usually while in a rush to get somewhere.

The Electric Dreams expo is your opportunity to experience (possibly for the first time) riding or a passenger, with a number of Electric Vehicles including motorbikes, electric trucks, electric buses, prime movers, electric scooters, electric bicycles and electric skateboards.

The key advantage with Electric Vehicles will be their capability as a smart mobile battery, used to power your home, tools, even run your coffee percolator after your surf.

The expo will present a ‘Live Action Arena’ with vehicle demonstrations and test drives available in a safe area, out the way of spectators.

Electric Dreams will mark the national launch of EMMA Inc, Electric Mobility Manufacturers Australia, meet Australia’s leaders in renewables and electric vehicles. At 2.15 for 2.30 pm this Saturday.

The EMMA Inc launch guests Steve Blume, President, the Smart Energy Council Australia, highly influential in moving Australia forward with solar, a Keynote address by Australian Icon Everald Compton – a significant influencer in the release of Nelson Mandela from Jail in South Africa, with pointers on EV Manufacturing in Australia. Jim Welsh Speaker of Poetry, delivering “Its Time –EMMA”, and the EMMA Inc to be Launched by Senator Anthony Chisholm – not to be missed!

Electric vehicles the future of clean quiet transport, Australian EV manufacturers about to disrupt the transport and energy industry much like smart phones have revolutionised the communication sector.
