PRESS RELEASE: Macquarie University sets a new standard in project governance with Aussie innovation

Macquarie University, in partnership with CaseMeallin, is transforming project governance and capital works management by implementing UniPhi, an Australian-developed project and portfolio management platform. With a growing capital works portfolio and the challenge of managing 100+ buildings across a 126-hectare campus, UniPhi was adopted as the core platform for project management.
“UniPhi software gives teams the clarity and control they need to manage big projects efficiently,” said Mark Heath, CEO of UniPhi. “We are excited to be bringing innovation into project management and have our valued clients set a new level of quality.”
UniPhi centralised project data in a versatile ‘digital hub’, serving as the go-to source of truth for real-time dashboards, automated workflows, and seamless collaboration. By replacing fragmented systems, the software equipped teams with the tools and accurate data they needed to make informed decisions, optimising project governance and processes for its capital works portfolio.
“This initiative represents a significant overhaul in the way we manage and deliver projects for our students, faculty, and staff,” said Juliette Churchill, Executive Director of Property Services at Macquarie University. “We are glad to work with CaseMeallin’s expertise and UniPhi’s software solutions to bring a new level of quality and oversight t our program of works. We’re proud to be setting new standards in campus development. Through UniPhi we now have a single touch point for all our project and portfolio information.”
“UniPhi improves project collaboration by bringing costs, contracts, schedules, cashflow, risks, and reporting into a single platform,” added Michael Dutton, Project Manager at CaseMeallin.“It reduces duplicate data entry while increasing how information is used. With real-time access and analysis across multiple project levels and metrics, teams gain a clearer view of project performance. A centralised source of truth means stakeholders have the tools to plan more effectively and make informed decisions.”
