PRESS RELEASE: Medicinal Cannabis: Mangoes, Mint and Papaya
What do mangoes, mint and papaya share in common?
Biortica Agrimed, Australia’s largest B2B grower of medicinal cannabis continues to make new genetic varieties available to the Australian market and so to Australian patients.
Mango Mintality and Papaya Bomb are just 2 of the 49 new varieties most recently imported by Biortica from it’s wholly owned Canadian subsidiary Apollo Green, owner of one of the world’s largest libraries of medicinal cannabis genetics.
Mango Mintality is a leader from Purple City Genetics of Oakland, California, displaying vigorous growth and high flower yields. Lime green flowers heavy with orange pistils characterise this genetic, which exhibits the scents of ripe mango together with crisp minty notes. A THC content in the 22 – 26% range with CBD < 0.5%. a flowering time of 9-10 weeks makes this variety ideal for indoor growers whose facilities have generous head room. This is an Indica dominant hybrid strain bred from crossing Gush Mints and Mango Haze. Papaya Bomb was an award winner in the Ice Water Hash category at the 2022 Emerald Cup. This genetic delivers THC content in the 24 – 28% range with CBD < 0.5% and a flowering time of under 9 weeks. Another of Purple City Genetics Indica dominant genetics, Papaya Bomb has been reported to produce THC levels as high as 31%. Produced by crossing the Papaya and THC Bomb strains it exhibits aromas of ripe papaya, melon, vanilla and tropical fruits. “More choices are always better”, said Tom Varga, Biortica’s CEO, “We’re just working to ensure patients get the broadest medicinal offering possible, year-round, and that growers are able to easily secure a range of genetics that best suit their situations.” “It was and is always about the patients first,” said Tom, “becoming Australia’s largest holder of cannabis genetics and now Australia’s largest importer of medicinal cannabis genetics, is nice, but wasn’t our core focus.”
