PRESS RELEASE: New Research Validates Heat Therapy for Lower Back Pain: Zarkie Heated Clothing Leads Innovation in Non-Invasive Lower Back Pain Management

Comprehensive review published in medical journal reinforces effectiveness of continuous heat therapy; FDA-registered heated back wrap provides practical solution for sustained treatment

A comprehensive research review recently published in Wiadomości Lekarskie by the Medical University of Lublin, Poland, has reinforced scientific understanding of heat therapy’s effectiveness for lower back pain management. The review, led by researcher Mateusz Trubalski, examines the physiological mechanisms behind heat therapy and its role in improving mobility and quality of life for patients with lumbar pain.

The research demonstrates that heat therapy works by improving blood circulation, reducing muscle stiffness, and decreasing inflammation. The review, analysing 30 studies involving over 1,000 patients, demonstrates that continuous low-level heat therapy achieves up to 45% reduction in pain intensity and 50% improvement in functional mobility.

“The growing scientific consensus supports what our customers have been telling us for the past 15 years,” said Scott Weekes, Manager at Zarkie. “Heat therapy provides real relief when applied consistently over extended periods.”

The review emphasizes that optimal therapeutic results occur with sustained heat application of 8-12 hours. Traditional heat packs cannot provide heat for this duration, creating a gap that electronic heating devices can fill. The FDA-registered InfraRed Heated Back Wrap (Registration #00876594009671) utilises carbon fiber heating elements to deliver continuous, controlled heat therapy that meets these research parameters.

Unlike disposable chemical heat packs, electronic heating devices offer significant cost savings through reusability while providing the sustained therapy duration that research indicates is most effective.

The Medical University of Lublin review calls for continued research into optimizing heat therapy parameters and integration with other rehabilitation strategies. As this field evolves, Zarkie continues developing next-generation heated clothing that incorporates insights from ongoing medical research.

The research concludes that heat therapy offers “promise as an alternative or complement to conventional treatments” for the millions of people worldwide affected by lower back pain, highlighting the need for broader application of evidence-based heat therapy interventions.
