People Spark connects practitioners across those disciplines with consultants and business leaders from across the state, and its most recent event, focused on psychosocial risk, showed what that kind of cross-disciplinary exchange can produce.

Psychosocial Risk Under a Multidisciplinary Lens
People Spark’s latest event examined psychosocial risk through the combined perspectives of HR, safety, legal, organisational development and leadership. Attendees left with a set of practical actions to take back into their workplaces, including reviewing how existing workplace controls are evaluated, clarifying where safety and other disciplines should contribute during an investigation, and opening lines of communication to reduce silos between departments. Several also pointed to the importance of helping leadership teams understand the seriousness of psychosocial risk, including their legal obligations.
