PRESS RELEASE: NSW Minister for Education OOSH funding arrangement – Essential workers kids covid grants

PRESS RELEASE – NSW Minister for Education OOSH Funding announcement

The Hon Sarah Mitchell MLC, NSW Minister for Education and Early Childhood Learning, was in Campbelltown last week to announce $840,000 in grants under the Before and After School Care Infrastructure Fund. This funding is specifically aimed at providing resources and activities for Out of School Hours (OOSH) centres. She said “This service is crucial for parents and carers who may not be able to get time off work to look after their children during school holidays.”

Small Sydney businesses like Bubbling With Energy Entertainment (located in Ingleburn NSW) provide amusement activities to OOSH centres. Bubbling With Energy Entertainment’s CEO James Rubiolo commented that his company provides many of the most popular inflatable activities used by OOSH centres. These include jumping castles, water slides, inflatable ninja warrior type obstacle courses, a video gaming trailer and even mobile escape rooms. He congratulated the NSW Government on this new funding. Mr Rubiolo said the past 18 months have been very difficult for the amusement industry. “Schools and OOSH centres, who are amongst our biggest clients, were in lockdown and unable to have excursions, let alone incursions. The flow on from the extra funding will allow us to sustain our business and even expand into activities like foam parties and Virtual Reality games”.
