MCP Health was the successful winner of the Delivering for Queensland award at the recent 2021 Buy Queensland Supplier Awards.
MCP Health also picked up a second award with Highly Commended in the Minister’s Buy Queensland Category.
Buy Queensland is the procurement policy established by the Queensland Government in 2017 to support local jobs and deliver genuine opportunities for local businesses to supply the Queensland Government.
The awards were presented by Honourable Mick de Brenni MP, Minister for Energy, Renewables and Hydrogen and Minister for Public Works and Procurement.
MCP Health is a Logan, Queensland based manufacturing company that pivoted to supply PPE in response to the critical shortage of surgical masks facing frontline medical staff. It has a long history in the manufacture of textile products giving it a unique position to rapidly ramp up production and meet Queensland Health requirements.
MCP Health offers a full range of TGA approved surgical masks in both Ties and Earloop style across Level 2 and Level 3. It has since introduced a sensitive skin mask and a Children’s face mask working in collaboration with the QLD Children’s Hospital. It supplies Queensland Health and other private hospitals and also offers its range of masks to the public at www.mcphealth.com.au

Managing Director of MCP Health Ben Rose said of the award; “ We are extremely proud to have received this award and it is recognition of the hard work from our team to ensure local supply of such a critical product for the Health system and wider community. Since Covid, we have successfully established the capability and expertise to manufacture PPE locally in Queensland and created over 40 jobs which is very pleasing. Our masks were designed from direct input from Doctors and Nurses and the feedback we have received is fantastic.
Being a local family owned business, MCP Health is continuing to invest in its capability and has plans to expand it product range and launch an industry first full life cycle recycling program for disposable PPE.
