PRESS RELEASE: SHANE WARNE’S SEVEN ZERO EIGHT GIN DISTILLERY HALTS GIN PRODUCTION TO PRODUCE HAND SANITISER FOR WA HOSPITALS

As COVID-19 continues to spread, the Australian Prime Minister has asked companies to make a wartime shift to produce much needed medical supplies due to shortages and disruptions in oversea supply chains. Shane Warne and his founders, which include 2 prominent WA surgical specialists, decided to stop production of their award-winning SevenZeroEight Gin to shift to producing medical grade 70% alcohol hand sanitiser until further notice. An agreement has already been made to provide a continuous supply to two nominated Western Australia hospitals at cost.

Shane Warne commented, “This is a challenging time for Australians and we all need to do what we can to help our healthcare system combat this disease and save lives. I am happy SevenZeroEight has the ability to make this shift and encourage others to do the same. “

As of March 17, 2020 SevenZeroEight distillery will solely produce hand sanitizer. Plenty of stock of the award-winning SevenZeroEight Gin and 23 mid-strength Gin has been bottled and bonded to continue offering sales to its customers online. To encourage online sales and staying out of the shops, www.708gin.com.au is offering Free Shipping on all orders until further notice.
