What is the SiteHive Audio Classifier?

The SiteHive Audio Classifier uses integrated AI, hardware and software technology to replace what has traditionally been a manual listening process. SiteHive Hexanode monitoring devices capture real-time data, images and audio during construction. AI technology then analyses the sounds, and compares them to a comprehensive database of construction and other noises. It identifies and labels the noises – for example as a “digger”, or “drilling”, or “traffic”.

The classified sounds are colour-coded and labelled in SiteHive Enviro Pro software. Through this, project teams can see immediately what’s causing noise, and if it’s related to the construction site. So they can take action to address and prevent noise issues as they happen, lowering noise impacts for teams, communities and the environment.
