PRESS RELEASE: Skateboarding Takes over South Australia

South Australia, in Particular, the Fleurieu Peninsula, has been descended upon this week by Australia’s best skateboarders for the launch of the 2025 BMD Rumble Championship Tour.

The Tour, Officially beginning this Saturday at Christie Downs Skatepark, is Australia national skateboard tour, producing majority of our Olympians in Paris in 2024.

Skateboarders from every state have landed to the Tour for a chance to finish #1 at the end of season for the major prize, as well as hone their craft and keep their media presence.

8 of the current top 10 men have landed in Adelaide, after a 4 day community fan tour across Loxton, Streaky Bay, Murray Bridge and Quorn. WIth Streaky Bay needed a huge boost from the visiting pros after the recent shark attack death, kids welcomed the pro skateboarders and it brought some great energy.

#1 NSW ranked Skateboarder Felicity Turner has rejoined the new season, and we welcome back Blayze Harmer, who missed last years tour with the birth of her son, this will be her first time competing back since becoming a mother, and on home soil.

The event starts with a free public meet and greet at MV2 skate shop Thursday 16th from 630pm in Noarlunga.

The official competition starts 3pm Saturday January 18 at Christie Downs Skatepark.

The National Junior Series will also be launching, which is funded by Apex Vac Solutions, a local business from SA with a reputation for supporting grassroots and its community.
