PRESS RELEASE: Space Port Australia and Titans Space Development Corporation sign MoU

Titans Space Development Corporation, Titans Space, US-based aerospace company, (Titans Space Industries www.titanspace.com), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Space Port Australia Pty Ltd, www.spaceportaustralia.com.au. This strategic partnership aims to explore potential locations in Australia for Titans Space’s development, manufacturing and launching of Titans Spaceplanes and crafts. Scouting suitable launch and landing sites has been the recent focus of Titans Space, with runway length capable of accommodating the innovative, reusable Titans Spaceplanes.

Dr. Caswell (an Australian Space Awards Finalist 2024) of Space Port Australia, acknowledged the project as being cardinal, “It’s amazing to think the future is here. Titans Space is an exciting start-up, with innovative concepts, reusable craft, with the potential of increasing Australia’s space craft operation. Space Port Australia’s expertise in space education, space health technology, and space medicine research is complementary.”

Space Port Australia, based in northern New South Wales, contributes considerable local knowledge of the Australian aviation scene to the project, Dr Caswell continued, “This partnership presents a significant opportunity to advance the Australian space industry, and engage contribution from NSW towards global space exploration”. Space Port Australia is committed to creating an integrated space facility which fosters innovation, industry, education and helps grow Australia’s place in the space sector.

Mr Lachman, founding CEO of Titans Space advised, “Australia had four active Space Shuttle landing sites during the height of that program, and in the modern era Australia has even more capability to accommodate large horizontal lift craft. Australia is well placed to service South East Asia, and those who wish to combine space tourism with tourism in Australia”. Mr Lachman added, “ If Titans Spaceplanes can be successfully accommodated in Australia, there is potential to create high technology aerospace support and related careers”.

Titans Space is actively seeking suitable locations to expand its operations, whilst developing its Californian site.
