PRESS RELEASE: Suicide support for people with disabilities

Scenic Health are proud to say that our Crisis prevention hotline CallSafe has been operational for over a month! Within that time, we have had calls come into our service between a moderate to high risk and we are happy to say that our team were able to fully support these participants, and no one needed to be admitted to hospital!

Our aim at CallSafe is to be there and support participants in their time of need outside of the hospital environment. We offer all participants who use CallSafe 3 free hours of Support Coordination to help further support those that use our service, in our first month live there has been 4 hours used.

As we aim to offer participants whole support service, we also offer a check-in service a few days after our service has been used to make sure the participant is feeling well and they are getting the ongoing support form outside services as required and to solidate that they’re not alone.

CallSafe is a confidential Crisis Support Hotline that is available to NDIS participants in the Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Scenic Rim areas. CallSafe is available 24/7 with a fully qualified team of Social Workers and Counsellors ready to help.
