The Avolution, the largest exporter of Australian avocados is proud to announce its premium quality Hass avocados are heading to the Indian market. This is an exciting development for the Australian avocado industry, as it marks a significant milestone in the expansion of its exports to one of the world’s largest consumer markets.

We undertook an extensive market investigation tour in January 2023 to, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Delhi to assess the market and retail situation in preparation for the opening of the Indian market for us.”

The avocados will be flown and shipped by sea to India via a specialised cold chain to ensure that they reach consumers in optimal condition.
The Australian avocado industry’s entry into the Indian market is expected to create significant business opportunities for both countries. It will also provide a boost to the Australian economy by creating new jobs and generating revenue with a potential market value of approximately $30 million.

The Avolution has offices in the three main Australian markets of Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. With seven key staff across these offices, we outsource transport, warehousing, ripening, prepacking, with delivery in all Australian capital cities and throughout Asia and the Middle East.
The Avolution operates in all capital city wholesale markets and are a direct supplier to Woolworths in all states, except WA. Also suppling foodservice and regional wholesalers.
The Avolution’s strategic direction is to become a ‘one-stop-shop’ for domestic and international customers, sourcing quality, fit-for-purpose fruit to meet market demand. This entails securing high quality fit-for-purpose avocado supply from Australia and other sources, growing demand for The Avolution product and services worldwide, and providing the resources, support and systems required to meet market growth.
Within just 10 years, The Avolution has grown its marketing business from a core of the two avocado packing sheds to over 30 packing operations across Australia, marketing and supplying 20 per cent of Australia’s avocados 12 month of the year. Over 3 million trays of avocados are currently marketed with a sales value of over AUD$75 million.
Since its formation, The Avolution has also secured business with supermarket Coles, Woolworths, Costco and Aldi as well as independent retailers, Food Service, QSR and a large range of export markets.
