PRESS RELEASE: The Elephant Whisperer’s Daughter

A sweeping coming-of-age tale of courage, friendship, and the call of the wild
By Nadya Radonich
Tweed Heads, NSW — 11 November 2025 — Debut storyteller Nadya Radonich invites readers on an unforgettable journey into the heart of the Burmese jungle with her new novel, The Elephant Whisperer’s Daughter — a luminous coming-of-age story set against the turbulence of post-war change and the unbreakable bond between humanity and nature.
Born amid the chaos of WWII London, Margaret “Maggie” Jones takes her first breath as bombs fall overhead. When her father, Evelyn — a man devoted to the natural world — moves the family to Burma, Maggie’s life transforms. Immersed in a landscape of wild beauty, she meets Mae, a fearless local girl whose friendship becomes a lifeline. Together they explore jungles alive with elephants, lions, and orangutans, discovering joy, danger, and a profound sense of belonging.

But paradise is fragile. As political unrest and family tensions mount, Maggie must navigate a world unraveling at the seams — a journey that will test her courage, shape her destiny, and teach her the true meaning of home.
The Elephant Whisperer’s Daughter is a rich, evocative exploration of memory, resilience, and the deep ties that connect people to each other and the earth. With lyrical prose and cinematic detail, Nadya Radonich captures both the wonder of childhood and the ache of loss in a story that lingers long after the final page.
“This book is a love letter to wild places and the people who find themselves in them,” says Radonich. “It’s about the moment we realize that courage isn’t the absence of fear — it’s the decision to keep listening to the world’s whispers, even when they break our hearts.”
Perfect for fans of The Poisonwood Bible, Where the Crawdads Sing, and The Night Tiger, The Elephant Whisperer’s Daughter is a novel that speaks to the soul — a timeless reminder that even in the wildest of storms, hope endures.
