PRESS RELEASE: The rapid antigen test app saving Christmas
SYDNEY: The holidays have arrived, along with a spike in COVID-19 cases as a result of the Omicron variant. The demand for rapid antigen test kits have soared, and are being used across the country as a means of precaution as families and friends come together and celebrate.
StayingSafe, a new app, makes this process a lot easier by allowing Australians to confirm that those attending their social gatherings have recently tested negative for COVID-19.
The StayingSafe app allows users to create an event and send invites to attendees, who are prompted to undergo a rapid antigen test within a specific time frame before the event, which they upload onto the app confirming their COVID-19 negative status.
The app is compatible with all rapid antigen test kits on the market so that attendees don’t have to worry about acquiring a specific brand of test. However, StayingSafe can supply rapid antigen tests via the local and national freight network so that ordering is possible for New Years events.
Event holders have the option of refusing guests if they do not complete the test. If their test returns a positive result, they must immediately report to their local PCR testing location for a diagnostic test.
StayingSafe is available for download on the App Store. Android users can benefit from the same free platform by signing up on the StayingSafe website, at www.stayingsafe.com.au/dashboard/signup.
