This prestigious national award recognises excellence in guiding, storytelling, and visitor experience, shining a spotlight on the vital role tour guides play in Australia’s tourism industry. We commend all finalists for their outstanding contributions.

The awards are proudly supported by Tourism Australia, Qantas, and Localis, in partnership with Tour Guides Australia.

Supporting the Next Generation of Guides

Tour Guides Australia is committed to building a strong, professional guiding workforce nationwide. To help address the national shortage of skilled guides, we are delivering Tour Guiding Fundamentals microcredential courses across the country.

These three-day courses provide new guides with essential skills to launch a rewarding career in tourism. Recent programs in Eden and Cairns sold out quickly, with upcoming classes scheduled for:
