1 May 2020: 100% Australian grown, owned and packaged, Aussie Frozen Fruit has launched across freezer shelves exclusively in over 1000 Woolworths stores nationally. Created with sustainably sourced, quality Australian grown fruit; the range includes three initial products of 400g packs of frozen Mixed Berries, Blueberries and Mangoes all sourced from local fruit growers.
“We saw an opportunity to help Australian farmers find a home for more of their fruit, helping to reduce wastage as well as filling a significant gap in the Australian grown, frozen fruit market. Aussie Frozen Fruit is grown to Australian standards and sourced directly from local farmers,” said Aussie Frozen Fruit’s management team.
“We are really proud to launch our product range that contains 100% Australian grown fruit that is packed in our Yarra Valley premise using an all Australian supply chain. We are working with local farmers to help reduce food wastage and the amount of fruit going towards landfill by utilising ‘rescue fruit’ that is 100% Australian Grown,” management noted.
“It’s been a really positive start so far and we’ve been blown away by the support and feedback from Australian consumers wanting to buy Australian grown frozen fruit,” noted management.
