PRESS RELEASE: Queensland Juniors get green light to go for gold
End of Brisbane Covid lockdown allows the RnB Rally Team to travel and compete at the opening round of the RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship.
The Brisbane based Junior rally team of driver Ryan Williams (22, of Kilcoy Qld) and co-driver Brad Jones (20, of Redcliffe, Qld) are relieved to be free to travel to Canberra next week following the end of Queensland’s lockdown in the Greater Brisbane area, allowing the young team to race in first round of the RSEA Safety Motorsport Australian Rally Championship 2021, the Netier National Capital Rally which runs from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th of April in the forest surrounding the Australian capital.
The RnB Rally Team pairing will be debuting their new car, a Ford Fiesta R2T, which was designed and built for the Junior World Rally Championship by the European based motorsport company M-Sport and previously driven by Finland’s Rising Star winner, Sami Pajari, to success in the Finnish rally championship.
As one of the quickest young hopefuls to emerge amongst the next generation of drivers on the Australian rally scene, Ryan’s graduation to the National level has created at lot of excitement. Many supporters believing he has the natural talent and speed to quickly progress to the very top levels of the sport and with a double goal this year of winning the Australian rally championship Junior Cup (ARC Junior Cup) as well as the Shamrock Haulage two wheel drive Cup (2WD Cup) the team isn’t afraid to rise to the challenge.
