Join us from 3-5 June in Newcastle, NSW, at the state-of-the-art Newcastle Exhibition and Convention Centre (NEX).
This year, our theme is ‘Beyond the Windrow – Building Industry Resilience,’ where we will explore innovative strategies and technologies that will shape the future of organic recycling. The conference will feature exciting keynotes, presentations and panels with industry experts sharing their insights and experiences.
The AORA Annual Conference is the principal conference in Australia focusing entirely on organics recycling. Following the success of the 2024 conference on the Gold Coast and Melbourne in 2023, the conference returns to NSW with the aim of continuing to address the key issues facing organics recycling in Australia in a collaborative, transparent and robust way whilst continuing to explore how the Australian organics recycling industry can continue to meet its challenges and continue to grow into a successful and resilient industry long term.
As in previous years, the first day of the event (3 June) will be a Demonstration Day where you can experience innovative equipment and machinery in action, demonstrating the latest advancements in organic recycling. With a variety of machines on site during the Demonstration Day and representatives from the various manufacturers on hand, this is your chance to get up close to the equipment, compare different models, and understand how each piece of machinery can enhance your operations. Meet with suppliers and experts in the field, ask questions, and learn about the latest technology and innovations in the industry, this is a great opportunity to see, touch and ask about your next capital investment in organics recycling equipment.
The conference plenary sessions commence on the morning of 4 June at the at NEX. With the conference program close to finalisation, it is anticipated that the final program will offer a rich variety of interesting and thought-compelling sessions on key industry issues including updates on regulations and legislation, FOGO, contamination, engagement strategies, partnerships, alternative technologies, market and end-use development and international experiences.
The conference committee has already secured an international keynote speaker from the USA – known as the “First Lady of Compost,” Kathy Kellogg Johnson is the owner of Kellogg Garden Products, a 4th-generation, all-organic, garden products company founded in 1925.
As with previous AORA conferences, there will be a significant exhibition display on offer as part of the event, providing a large variety of companies associated with organics recycling to showcase their latest equipment and services in a face-to-face environment. Another key component of the conference is the formal and informal networking and social functions of which the conference dinner, to be held on the evening of 4 June, is a highlight not to be missed.
