Tour Guides Australia proudly congratulates the winners of the inaugural NSW Top Tour Guide Awards, announced on 4 June during a spectacular evening cruise on Sydney Harbour as part of Vivid Sydney.

– Gold: Justin Steele – Local Sauce Tours
– Silver: Nathan Lygon – Eden Local Aboriginal Land Council
– Bronze: Amanda Fry – Experience Nature

This prestigious recognition celebrates excellence in guiding, storytelling, and visitor experience in New South Wales. We commend all finalists for their outstanding contributions to the tourism industry.

Tour Guides Australia is also proud to support these awards in partnership with the NSW Tourism Industry Association, reflecting our shared commitment to raising standards and addressing the critical shortage of skilled, accredited guides across the state.

As part of this commitment:

– All three award winners will receive Professional Guide Membership with Tour Guides Australia, signifying their national accreditation at the highest level.
– All other finalists will be granted Affiliate Membership, which will support them on their journey to full professional recognition.

To help meet growing industry demand, Tour Guides Australia has just wrapped up another successful Tour Guiding Fundamentals microcredential course in Sydney this week, equipping a new cohort of passionate guides with the essential skills to thrive in the field.
