rom 10 July – 2 August 2026, MAGNET Galleries & 42 Studios presents Fly Me to the Moon by Tracey Roberts. Developed in response to one of the most challenging periods in modern history, this series of 12 unique 1-of-1 artworks explores the intersections of music, isolation, and interstellar legacy.
The collection is part of the Lunar Codex (https://www.lunarcodex.com) an international project led by Dr. Samuel Peralta to archive human creativity during the pandemic and send it to the lunar surface.
Three of the twelve pieces were created during Melbourne’s historic lockdowns, drawing a poignant connection between the city’s isolation and the “luminous solitude” of the moon. Whilst some of these works date back as far as 2010, this exhibition reimagines each artwork in the context of its lunar journey, featuring the moon’s surface within each fine art print.
Printed by PhotoNet, the Fine Art printing arm of MAGNET Galleries, each piece is printed on archival, internationally sourced, handmade papers. As such, each artwork is completely unique.

‘Much like the moon itself – distant, solitary, and yet radiant, these works reflect how isolation can become luminous. Even in our darkest moments, what we create can travel far beyond us and our circumstances.’ TRACEY ROBERTS
